Spring Trend: High Waisted Skirts

high waisted skirts

In the first outfit, I incorporated a bright and lively high-waisted knit pencil skirt from American Eagle. Pair it with a simple white boyfriend tank, tucked into the skirt. Add on a gorgeous simple Guess handbag and white gladiators.
In the second outfit I added a more chic flair. I paired an electric blue high waisted skirt with a delicate white blouse. It's a contrast between bold and delicate, and it works out beautifully. Finish it off with a leather handbag and cream coloured flats.
The third outfit is more fun and playful. I paired a high waisted knit mini from UO, and a feminine white blouse. Top it off with a black hobo shoulder bag and classic leather flip flops, and you're good to go!
The last outfit is a more sophisticated look. I paired a basic vibrant purple v-neck tee, with a classic black pencil skirt. Top it off with a timeless silver heart pendant necklace from Tiffany & Co., black satin flats and a patent black handbag from Coach.

The first outfit is chic, and looks like it's straight off the streets of Paris. Pair a dark heathered grey high-waisted skirt with a vintage tee. Finish it off with a pair of black opaque tights, black flats, bow earrings and a patent black headband.
The second outfit is perfect for work. Pair a white blouse, tucked into a tiered high waisted black skirt with patent black pumps. Finish it off with a black Coach handbag and a delicate blue heart necklace.
The third outfit is fun and bold, and perfect for a party! I paired an American Apparel vivid purple high-waisted skirt (can double as a minidress) with a simple black boyfriend tank tucked in. Top it off with black opaque tights, simple white Guess handbag and jet black mascara.
The last outfit is classy and bold at the same time. I paired a bold California fleece tulip skirt in a striking red shade, with a white button down tucked inside. Finish it off with a timeless silver heart tag necklace from Tiffany & Co, brown leather handbag from UO, and leather gladiators.

Mastering the high-waisted skirt look is both easy and stunning. It's a hot trend for spring, and you'll be seeing a lot more of it in the upcoming months. Please leave a comment, and let me know what you think!

Spring Trend: Flirty Pastels

An uprising trend, seen on a very stylish lady -- Rachel Bilson, and on the runways, with designers such as United Bamboo, Georgio Armani, Ruffian, and more, is flirty pastels. Softer and flirtier versions of baby pinks and blues, mint greens, soft yellows, lilacs, and muted oranges were all worn by fashionable icons, and top designers in the fashion industry. I'm here to help you incorporate the precious trend into your spring wardrobe.

For a preppy look, opt for a pastel coloured polo. I chose a gorgeous baby pink coloured polo, and paired it with a wide banded denim mini. Top it off with a pair of simple white rubber flip flops, and add a pop of colour with a pastel yellow leather handbag from Juicy Couture.

For a simple, but stunning daytime look, I paired a precious knit pastel yellow high-waisted mini skirt with as simple sheer white v-neck tee. Top it off with a pair of white gladiators, a brown faux-leather hobo handbag, and a delicate mint blue heart necklace.

For another gorgeous daytime look, pair a mint green tank dress, with brown gladiators, crown pendant necklace, and a classic white leather bowling bag from Guess.

That's all for pastels! Please leave a comment or a suggestion, and come back often to read more Spring Trend updates.

Spring Trend: Florals

Another major trend on the runway was floral prints. It's a perfect way to bring in the spring weather.

The first outfit here is for those in cooler regions, where spring is still a long ways away, like me. I paired a mustard yellow floral cardigan from UO, with dark wash skinny jeans. Top it off with a pair of dark grey suede slouch boots, and you have the perfect floral outfit!

The second outfit is meant for warmer weather. I paired a gorgeous blue floral skirt from Delias, with classic white blouse from Topshop. It's a perfecly femimine outfit, and it's perfect for a casual day out.

In the last outfit I incorporated the spring floral trend into something a little more floral. I paired a beautiful floral above the knee-length dress from Delias, with black satin ballet flats. If it's chilly outside, pair with a teal cardigan. To finally top it off, throw on a pair of faux (or real!) pearls. This is the perfect outfit for a dinner date or a party.

Spring Trend: Ripped Denim

Spotted on the runways were ripped denim, and in my personal opinion, ripped denim has to be worked the right way to look good. I'm hoping to help with that. Right now, Abercrombie & Fitch has a variety of ripped shorts in assorted lengths and shades.

I like to keep the ripped denim look simple, and classy. The first outfit is a ripped denim short in a medium wash, with a simple and sexy white v-neck tshirt. The next is a ripped short in a longer length, medium wash, with a classic lacey white tank, paired with three-quarter sleeve yellow cardigan. Finally, a darker wash short with a slightly frayed end, paired with a bold fushia sexy v-neck tee. All three oufits are paired with a classic braided leather flip flop. You can go faux, if you love the animals like I do! :)

Spring Trend: Polka Dot Bikinis

First off, I'd like to say that I'm really sorry I haven't gotten the chance to post any updates. It's been a busy few months, but I'm hoping to post a lot more often.

Today I stepped outside of my house and I was slapped in the face with the -30 degree Celsius wind. Winter is absolutely brutal, and I'm hoping to make it go by faster by thinking of spring! What better way than to go spring shopping? Whether you want to stock up for spring coming up, or need some items for spring break, I'm going to post the hottest items for spring.

First trend I want to address is the polka dot bikini. JCrew has many variations of this style, and I'm absolutely in love with it! Bright colours, and cute prints are the perfect way to invite in the warmer weather.

If you have a smaller bust, the bandeau style top is the perfect cut for you. It accentuates your chest area, and flatters your small bust.

If you have a full figure, and/or a larger bust, than the halter style top and the banded bottom is for you. The halter with the wide straps will offer extra support, and the banded bottom will minimize a heavy bottom. The additional flower will draw the eye upwards. It will make your curves look absoluely stunning!

For any bust size that needs a little bit of support, the top with the hidden underwire is perfect for you! The halter also adds a little bit of cleavage.

If you wish to cover a little bit more skin, opt for the one-piece beautiful swimsuit. It has a removable strap, that can transport the suit into a stunning strapless one-piece.

That's all for the polka dotted bikini. More spring trends will be coming soon, maybe even today. I promise you that! :)

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's the holiday season, and you want to look fabulous? Well, I created four gorgeous outfits for the holiday season. No matter what you celebrate, or what the occasion is, you'll look absolutely stunning :)

Holiday Party

At the hottest holiday parties this year, you'll stand out from the sea of red and green dresses. This outfit is both classy and sophisticated, and it's perfect for mingling with your friends. I combined an elegant bergundy rosette dress from Charlotte Russe with a classic black cardigan from American Eagle. If the weather outside is frightful, throw on a pair of black opaque tights to keep your legs warm. Accent your outfit, with rich gold accessories and finish it off with classic black ballet flats. If you're strapped for cash this holiday season, this outfit is budget-friendly.

This outfit is a little more fun, and it expresses your wild side. I paired a ruffled one shoulder black dress from Charlotte Russe with bold purple opaque tights. I accessorized it with a lot of chunky silver jewelry and finished it off with black patent ankle boots. This outfit is pricier, but use it as inspiration and look for similar cheaper pieces. This outfit was inspired by the "One Armed Bandit" in Cosmogirl Dec/Jan '08.

Holiday Dinner

This outfit is both modest and stunning, so it's perfect for the family get together. I paired a deep purple velvet blazer from American Eagle and a black lace cami from American Eagle. Add on jet-black skinny jeans and patent black ballet flats, and your ensemble is good to go!

Christmas Morning

This outfit is both cute, and comfy .. perfect for Christmas morning under the tree. I paired a red polka dot flannel PJ set from aerie and white cable-knit slipper booties from American Eagle. Top it off with a black headband to manage your beadhead and throw on a festive Christmas hat. Make yourself some chocolat chaud and your good to go!

Please let me know what your thoughts were on this post, and leave any suggestions in the comments. HAPPY HOLIDAYS ! :)
